- ➤ On Thanksgiving morning, Southcentral experienced a 6.0 earthquake that rattled local communities— the Alaska Earthquake Center confirmed it is not an aftershock of the 2018 M7.1 quake, noting the timing is merely a coincidence. Alaska's News Source
- ➤ Multiple avalanches occurred in Turnagain Pass between Friday and Saturday, including one that carried a skier who escaped harm—officials warn that avalanche danger will remain high in Turnagain Pass and considerable in Summit Lake this Sunday. Alaska's News Source

- ➤ Since 1950, the Anchorage League of Women Voters—founded by 60 local women at the Jade Room—has improved voting access and guided local government through voter education and election services. Anchorage Daily News
- ➤ Anchorage Assembly is seeking public feedback on four new city seal designs that incorporate Dena’ina quillwork from indigenous artist Sebastian Garber to honor local cultural heritage, as part of the municipality’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Public comments will be accepted through an online survey open until Dec. 16 — Assembly will hold a public hearing on the designs during its regular meeting. Anchorage Daily News
