- ➤ At the Region IV cross country meet at Bartlett High on Sept. 27, Rosie Conway of Bettye Davis East won the girls individual title in 19:23 and Katahdin Staples of East won the boys race in 16:26 while Chugiak and West High captured the girls and boys team championships respectively—setting up the state meet next week in Palmer.
