  • Federal authorities seized the Chelsea Inn Motel on Aug. 22 after an FBI-led dawn raid targeting a suspected narcotics hub on Spenard Road—officers detained occupants and posted legal notices on its boarded windows as the property came under federal control pending court approval.  Must Read Alaska

  • Archaeologists at the Alutiiq Museum uncovered a campfire site at Karluk Lake that dates to about 7,800 years ago — 300 years older than previous finds in the Kodiak Archipelago, and they plan to update exhibits and printed materials with the new information.  Alaska's News Source

  • The EPA canceled the Solar for All program that would have provided $125 million in Alaska for small-scale solar projects—Sen.
