- ➤ Alaska State Troopers fatally shot 32-year-old Charles Hedgers in Meadow Lakes near Wasilla on Friday afternoon after he barricaded himself in a motor home bathroom while armed with a handgun and wanted on a parole violation — medics pronounced him dead and the Alaska Bureau of Investigation is now investigating the use of lethal force.
