Alaska State Troopers fatally shot a man who barricaded himself in a motorhome bathroom in Wasilla on Friday at about 1 p.m. after he refused to exit while holding a handgun plus a trooper has been placed on administrative leave while an investigation into the use of lethal force continues.

Alaska State Troopers said 31-year-old Lashaunda Lewis from Virginia was charged with domestic violence murder for killing 78-year-old John Dove Jr. at his Soldotna home on August 5th—she later inflicted her own injuries, and officials said there is no ongoing public safety threat.
