CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An Anchorage man, 31-year-old JB Matha, pleaded not guilty in court to ten charges including DUI and second degree murder in the hit-and-run death of former Deadliest Catch cast member Francis Katongan, who was struck on February 18 near Northern Lights and Minnesota—police say vehicle damage, debris, and his refusal to take sobriety tests link him to the incident. - ➤ A Sewalik man named Adrian Ticket, 37, was charged with second-degree murder and assaults nearly six months after Nettie Ballot was found dead in his home in February — he admitted beating her before sleeping but said she was alive when he awoke, and he is now in custody at Anvil Mountain Correctional Center.
