- ➤ The Anchorage Police Department’s first Annual Report showed 2024 saw a 150% jump in pedestrian deaths in traffic and a 93% rise in all fatal crashes, with one third involving speeding and most crashes tied to alcohol or drugs—leading to a task force being formed in September to improve road safety.
