- ➤ Anchorage police apprehended a man on Friday near Mulcahy Stadium after shots were fired, leading to street and trail closures and the evacuation of a baseball field—he had an active warrant from Kotzebue and was taken to a hospital after a police dog bit his leg. Anchorage Daily News

- ➤ Alaskans for Fair Courts filed a lawsuit in Anchorage Superior Court alleging Governor Mike Dunleavy violated the constitution by appointing John W. Wood to a non-attorney seat on the Alaska Judicial Council—Wood is a former attorney who held a state role and has not been confirmed by the Legislature, making his appointment allegedly ineligible.
