- ➤ Glenfarne Alaska LNG announced a partnership with Thailand's PTT Public Company Limited today to secure 2 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas for 20 years from the Alaska LNG project — the deal boosts the project’s reserved offtake capacity to 50% and moves it closer to a final investment decision this fall. The project is also finalizing design on its 807-mile pipeline and seeking additional strategic partnerships. Must Read Alaska

- ➤ Anchorage police responded to a shooting Sunday morning near the 1700 block of West 32nd Avenue in Midtown, finding a man and a woman with upper body injuries just before 7:30 a.m. and later discovering another man with similar trauma who was pronounced dead around 9 a.m.—detectives have questioned those involved and report no public safety threat. - ➤ Researchers confirmed that the HMS Endeavor—a famed ship that carried Captain Cook on his first journey— was discovered after over 200 years underwater following nearly three decades of study by American and Australian experts. - ➤ A Rutgers University study shows Alaska spent 4.77% of state GDP on K-12 education in 2022—35% above the US average—and nearly doubled per-student spending since 2004-05.
