CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Anchorage police said that Sunday morning a shooting left one man dead and two others injured when a man and a woman with upper body trauma were taken to the hospital near the 1700 block of West 32nd Avenue while another man was found at a different location and died at the scene + officers confirmed there is no public safety threat. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wildlife officials in Homer confirmed a rescued moose calf was reunited with its family on June 22—an effort following its separation from the group. Alaska's News Source
- ➤ Over the weekend the Matanuska River flooded near Maud Road, damaging properties, power lines, and the bike path. A Department of Transportation contractor is working on emergency preventative measures—repairs will take one to two weeks. Alaska's News Source
- ➤ Wildfires increased across the state on June 22, leading to more areas being evacuated—fire officials said cooler and wetter conditions later brought some relief as they continued to monitor the situation closely. Alaska's News Source

- ➤ High school and Alaska Baseball League games from Sunday to Saturday produced mixed results as local and nearby teams battled hard—scores showed wins and losses across Chugiak, Juneau, Kenai and more.
