- ➤ NeighborWorks Alaska is leading the annual Paint the Town event — a community effort — in Spenard to help seniors, veterans and disabled residents freshen their homes for summer. - ➤ Glenfarne Alaska LNG, LLC announced today that it completed its first round of strategic partner selection with over 50 companies expressing interest totaling more than $115 billion in potential contracts. The Alaska LNG project—developed with the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation—will build an 807-mile pipeline from the North Slope to Southcentral with a final investment decision expected in late Q4. - ➤ Stax Capital Partners, a Wasilla-based startup, is proposing a Bitcoin mining operation near the North Slope oil fields that will use 50 megawatts of power from stranded natural gas — about the same as Healy's largest coal plant. The company plans to start construction by the end of 2025 and hopes to expand the pilot project into a gigawatt-scale model for sustainable mining — a move that could boost Alaska’s ability to monetize its natural resources.
