- ➤ Rocket Fuel Summer Food Program is launching an initiative to feed children through the summer in Anchorage, serving lunches including oranges, veggie chips, ham and cheese sandwiches, and chocolate milk at local centers — Spenard, Fairview, Mountain View, and a soon-to-open site at Muldoon. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Anchorage police said a pedestrian was critically injured at about 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Benson Boulevard and C Street intersection—while a female pedestrian was hit by a hit-and-run driver at about 3 a.m. Saturday near the Seward Highway intersection and sustained life-threatening injuries. - ➤ A 20-year-old passenger died — and the driver was arrested for DUI, no valid operator’s license, and manslaughter — after a rollover crash occurred near Mile 92.5 on Seward Highway early Saturday when responders arrived at 3:53 a.m. Alaska's News Source
