- ➤ Anchorage residents honor veterans today as Nuvision Alaska hosts the fourth annual headstone cleanup at Memorial Park Cemetery from 11 am to 2 pm—volunteers will use their own gloves and cleaning tools while refreshments are served after the event. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Environmental groups and a tribal council sued in U.S. District Court in Anchorage Tuesday to challenge a permit issued in September that allows a mining company to build a road and expand an airstrip near Tuxedni Bay—an area where endangered Cook Inlet belugas feed and face increased risks of noise and water pollution.
