- ➤ Chugiak High School’s 50-year-old time capsule, assembled in 1976 and entombed in the 1980s, was opened Friday, May 8, in the courtyard by Class of 1976 alumni who found notes, an audio tape, and mementos; the capsule, created by teacher Andy Kirk (d. 1997), united alumni from across the country.
