- ➤ Indigenous artists from Anchorage, including Cheyenne Nelson of Iliamna Arts, worry about Etsy’s fur ban that starts Aug. 11 (which lacks exceptions for traditional practices) because it may limit their ability to sell handmade jewelry. - ➤ About 1,000 students became UAA alumni at the Alaska Airlines Center on Sunday. Teen speaker Rainey Spurlock — recognized as the youngest graduate at 17 — led the ceremony where President Pat Pitney delivered her final address after more than 20 years at UAA. Alaska's News Source
