- ➤ Volunteers are hosting a food and gift card drive today (from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.) and Saturday (from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) at Mountain View Community Center on Price Street to help supply meals for nearly 100 kids each night after subsidized service ends early. - ➤ Officers responded on Wednesday to a welfare check at a U-Med District home on East 42nd Avenue and discovered the bodies of two men and a woman—police say the victims had likely been in the residence for at least two to three days and are investigating the cause of death. Alaska Public Media
