- ➤ Alaska youth filmmaking group See Stories became a nonprofit in 2019 and now offers free curriculum and workshops to help Title I students and teachers tell their own stories through digital filmmaking. Alumni have had films shown at international festivals and more will be featured in upcoming screenings — the group also holds teacher development sessions to support new storytellers. - ➤ Technicians at Timi’s Alpina Auto Repair in Anchorage are preparing cars for a possible eruption of Mount Spurr by advising residents to secure extra car and carbon filters and cover their vehicles if they lack a garage. - ➤ The Port of Alaska director said the port will finish demolishing old facilities and build an armor rock wall this summer as part of its modernization project, which is expected to last ten years and cost at least $2 billion.
